I love to do other stuff, too! I love salsa dancing, for example – and I really enjoy snowboarding. Alas, there’s not a lot of snow around here!

You have to work fairly hard to be a scientist – but I also think it’s important to make time for other things.

Personally I love climbing, caving, cycling (all the Cs there!) and generally being outdoors. Ideally in the mountains or by the sea with a few mates.

Oh of course I like doing other things, I love travelling for example and I am lucky that I get to do that also as part of my job. I like reading, I do some horse riding if I find the time, or just sunbathing or something 🙂

I like hillwalking, surfing, climbing, dancing, cooking, gardening, and watching movies. It’s just a case of finding time for everything!

Well, I love diving which for a long time was a big part of my job (not now though 🙁 )
In the meantime, I love mountain biking, travelling, seeing friends, listening to music, reading a good book. All the usual stuff really. Scientists aren’t all that different from other people in terms of their tastes and likes and dislikes… Apart from considering a lab coat appropriate office wear…
