  It was! But, some sharks, like bullsharks, can swim in brackish (salt and fresh water) mixed water! So – the megalodon might have been able to do the same! Even if it couldn’t – many of the places that are rivers were once under seawater – so the fossils could have been left there that way, too. 🙂 http://www.sdnhm.org/exhibits/mystery/fg_megalodon.html
