Question: Do any of you guys own an anologue camera? Lomography? This is for a scientific question as we need to know it for school. AND YOU GUYS ARE PRETTY COOL. So you might have some tips or information...
Lomography! I used to own a film camera, I’ve moved up to digital now though! I’m not so sure about how Lomography works differently to taking photos with normal analogue camera though… I think they’re just a little quirkier than your normal cameras and so you can get some unusual looking photos with them… I’ve explained a little bit about how analogue cameras work for Pratishka in the answered questions section so hopefully that will help!
I had an analogue camera when I was a kid, but have been all digital for about the last 10 years… Never owned or used a lomo, though – I think they were a range of cameras, each producing a slighty unusual effect…
Alas, I’ve never owned a Lomo. Have to say though – after looking at this website – http://www.lomography.com/photos, I may add one back into my life. Back when I was growing up, there weren’t digital cameras. (Hard to believe, I know.) I worked as a sports photographer for a local newspaper. Every Friday night during football season, I’d be out in the sidelines running around taking shots – then back to the darkroom to develop them. It was soooooooo much fun. (Except when I forgot which chemicals were where, and then I had to taste test them – and that is an EXCEPTIONALLY bad idea with carcinogenic chemicals!) I kept doing analog photography up until around 2000 – but then it just started getting too expensive. So – I switched over to digital. I miss the darkroom work – Photoshop just isn’t the same. But, having said that, I save a lot of money these days. 🙂
