• Question: Do you have a boss or are you self employed? It must be fun running your own Company.

      I am employed by a project grant (government funded) and I work at the University so not exactly own company. But I don’t have a boss per se, I have a supervisor who I can ask for help but it’s up to me to design my own experiments collect samples analyse data etc..

      I do have a boss (head of the school of Geography), but i don’t get told what to do too much.

      I’m employed on a project grant which was awarded to a more senior scientist in my department – so he’s my boss!

      Yeah, I’ve got a boss. I’d like to run my own marine conservation organisation in the future though…

      I have lots and lots of bosses! I’m on the bottom rung of the academic food chain – it just goes up from here! 🙂 I have lots of freedom and support though – so I’m not complaining. 🙂
