      I am interested in processes, so I look at what seafloor animals eat, and how that affects the chemistry of their environment.

      All of the above. By looking at what and how an octopus eats, plus what and how it kills its prey – I get a much better picture of the animal. 🙂 For example, why do squids have big beaks, while octopuses have small beaks?

      I don’t research fish! I’m more interested in the physics of the ocean, and how it communicates with the atmosphere in order to control the climate!
