• Question: Have you ever been stranded out at sea?

      One of the ships I was on did keep loosing power (engines overheated in the tropical sea), but the problem did not last for long.

      I’ve been on a ship that lost its engine power after it sucked in a load of sea-ice into the cooling system. Luckily the ship had two engines, so we were on our way again within about 10 minutes.

      Thankfully no. Have been on some VERY slow sail powered journeys though, thanks to a complete lack of wind…

      A little closer for comfort than I would have liked – but never stranded to the point of needing to be rescued by someone else. Lucky, that was!
