      Not personally, but I have been on cruises where other people did (real biologists).

      No – that would be cool, though, wouldn’t it? I think you get to name a species when you discover a new one, it would probably take me forever to come up with one!

      I haven’t discovered any new animals yet, but I am pretty sure my brother was an alien. Unfortunately, when I called the police to take him away, my mother grounded me. So much for my early days as a scientist.

      I wish! I’ve encountered plenty of species that I’ve never been able to identify from taxonomic guides though so who knows? Maybe I’ve seen a couple without realising?
