• Question: how can a jellyfish be a fish?

      Well, would it sound right being called a Jellyblob? It’s not a fish, it’s just that sombody called it a Jellyfish one day (presumably because it lives in water and, things that live in water are always fish… :s )

      The Malagasy word for Jellyfish is really cool though. It’s Tsangilihili (pronounced Chang-ee-lee-hee-lee) Best Word Ever!

      As Sean said, the jellyfish isn’t actually a fish, but I suspect it was named like the just by comparison to most animals in the ocean, which tend to be fish. I quite like jellyblob, though – maybe wee should try to get it’s name changed – just for accuracy, of course! 🙂
