• Question: how fast can a great white shark swim 100m?

      Much faster than we could run it! Or swim it for that matter. Whilst Sharks have evolved over the years to minimise their expenditure in terms of energy in the long run (they have to travel huge distances without any guarantee of encountering food for days at a time)they are pretty good sprinters when it comes to catching their prey. The fastest fish in the sea can reach 70mph so I reckon that the Great White (being MUCH bigger) could probably reach about half this speed…
