Knowing what your science would be used for in the future, if you could go back, would you still work on the atomic bomb?

I’d like to hear him describe how he came up with general relativity. Did it all become clear really quickly, or did he work it out over time?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while – there’s so many things that I would like to ask him! In the end though, I think I’d go with Glo ask him about how he really thought about working on producing nuclear weapons. One of his famous quotes is something ‘If only I knew I should have become a watchmaker’, referring to his work on nuclear weapons. However, I think he knew much more about what was happening that that suggests, so I’d like to hear it from him first hand.

If I could ask two questions (indulge me!), the second would be about how he came up with all of the ‘thought experiments’ that he was quite famous for.
