Like Clare – I’m already have my dream job. Ok – that’s not ENTIRELY true. If I could do my current job while simultaneously living on a really cozy houseboat on the river – that would be great – but that’s more about my dream life than my dream job. Why aren’t I living in a houseboat – I’ll have to check into that… Thanks for inspiring me! As to knowledge – very little (read practically nothing!) is known about cephalopod venoms – this is a chance to really open up that field of research. Super cool!

If I could do pretty much what I’m doing now, but with some more fieldwork and a bit more computer simulation work, that would be perfect! Of course, to be able to do all of this, I’d have to find a way if making the days quite a lot longer first!

Like others my job is pretty close to my dream, I would want not to worry about loosing it every 3 years though and I would probably prefer to live somewhere a bit more sunny. As to contributing to science, I really like the way you put it yourself, every research CONTRIBURES to the bigger picture, whatever it is.

I think my dream job would be carrying out research into the reasons why some Coral Reefs are able to resist and recover from episodes of bleaching whilst some aren’t. If a common characteristic could be determined then that would help conservationists immeasurably in working out which reefs would benefit most from being made marine reserves!
