• Question: What are your beliefs on life evolving from the ocean?

      Hi fish4life. I’m not sure if life began in the oceans as I’m not sure of there were any oceans worthy of the name over 3 billion years ago. If they were, they almost certainly weren’t anything like what we would call an Ocean today! If it didn’t begin in the Oceans, then life probably did a good part of it’s ‘growing up there’, certainly!

      I think, though I’m no expert in the topic, that life did begin in the oceans. However, probably not what we would recognise as an ocean today. Probably it would be more like a gooey mix of proteins and amino acids, known as the ‘primordial soup’
