• Question: why are jelly fish 95% water??

      Why?? I don’t really know why, but just for the record even humans are 57%water…

      It’s very, very, very thick gelatin that they are made with – so – they need lots of water to dilute it. 😉 On the flip side – why not be 95% water? They are spineless, heartless, brainless creatures – don’t need much to live like that!

      If you can survive without having to bother making all the difficult stuff like bones, then why not do it? It saves a lot on energy expenditure! It’s quite common for really simple organisms to be really successful.
